When the next day the commander called a meeting of the Sangh to prepare for war, then even those who did not want war had to accept defeat in front of those who wanted war because their numbers were more, hence Siddhartha did not change his mind. And said that I will not join the war, then the commander reminded him that remember the oath you had taken when you were a member of the Sangh, if you broke even one of these oaths, you would have to answer to the people.
Siddhartha said that he is committed with all his heart and soul for the welfare of Shakya, but this war is not for the welfare of Shakya, so I am not worried about what people will think. Then the commander said that you have broken the rules of the Sangh, hence you will be given death penalty. Or you will be given the education of leaving the country.
If you do not listen to the Sangh then the Sangh will have to give you education in other ways and the Sangh can impose social boycott on your family. Then Siddhartha said that I want to live the life of a Sanyasi. I am ready and in this way I will leave the country but please do not boycott my family.
